THE PROCESS

PREPARATION IS KEY

To use your time efficiently in Sample Workshop, please follow the three simple steps below and bring this information with you.

1. Take Photos (more is definitely best)

Photograph the exiting space you wish to renovate. If you are renovating selected rooms, it helps to photograph surrounding spaces to use as a reference.

If you are designing the interior of a new build, please bring the floor plans with you.

2. Work Out What You're Keeping

If you wish to keep existing furniture/finishes, it helps to photograph these. These images will be used as a design reference so it’s important to ensure the photos closely match the items original colour.

If you are keeping the original joinery colour, locate the product name, or photograph the existing to use as a colour reference.

3. Create a Mood Board*

Define a clear vision and design style you wish to create. Sample Workshop recommends you narrow down your selection and pick approximately 10 final images to reduce confusion.

There are many ways to gather images.

Here are some suggestions for the tech savvy and technically challenged:

Pinterest
Instagram

Magazine cut outs
Photocopies of design books

Blogs
Google Images

You will be greeted with a complementary tea/coffee as one of our in-house designers personally guide you around the showroom.

Our friendly designer will then conduct a private consultation where you can discuss your project and mood imagery. During this consultation our designer will help decipher your imagery and offer tailored advice about your product selection process.

Using your mood imagery as a guide, select your finishes from the samples displayed in Sample Workshop. One of our in-house designers will always be accessible to guide you through the selection process and provide you with product knowledge.
